Lace

This wondrous lace was handmade in the town of Sovetsk (the old name of the town is Kukarka), which stands on the banks of the river Vyatka in Russia. This was the center of lace-making at the end of the 19th and start of 20th centuries, and the local products won prizes at competitions in Paris, Saint-Petersburg and Atlanta. We decided to include English motifs in the lace: stone flowers on the Victorian houses of Hampstead.

Mrs Pomeranz is a premium ladies wear clothing brand, based in London and Moscow. Specializing on a particular style of dresses and skirts, based on the classical 50's silhouette. Production is kept relatively small, allowing an exclusive range and to keep the highest standards of quality.

Mrs Pomeranz was founded by the two sisters Dasha Pomeranz and Maria Kopieva in 2009.

In 2008 they opened a vintage store in Moscow, Good Bye London . It sold vintage American dresses from the mid 20^th century, which all stood out with their quality fabric, design and needle work. They were special compared to most contemporary high street clothes. Spoiled by such lovely vintage dresses, Dasha and Maria risked everything to create their own atelier, where any fashion loving lady could order a made-to-measure dress inspired by vintage designs and made of the high quality fabrics. The word spread, and thus Mrs Pomeranz was born.

There are now two seasonal collections annually with Mrs Pomeranz own fabric designs, the dresses are sold in Moscow, St Petersburg, Irkutsk, Samara and other Russian cities. When Dasha moved to the UK the geography of the brand broadened, with an atelier in London and an international on-line atelier: the dresses now have clients in Australia, Europe and the US. Since 2012 ready to wear Mrs Pomeranz dresses are sold at stores in the UK, Ireland, US, Qatar and China.

From the beginning the brand received a lot of support from fashion magazines and blogs: «Time Out», «Cosmopolitan», «Grazia», «Daily Telegraph», «Daily Mail», «Look», «Marie Claire», «Vogue», «Frankie Magazine», «The Sartorialist», «Wishwishwish», «The Little Magpie», «What Olivia did» etc.
